Privacy Policy

This MyContainers Privacy Policy was last modified on APRIL 2, 2014.

This privacy policy governs your use of the software applications MyContainers and MyContainers Lite (“us”, “we”, “our”, or “Application”) on a mobile device. The intended usage of the Application is to allow the user to store user supplied data solely within the application specific storage of a single mobile device.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

When you use the Application, you generally would only provide personal information, such as your name and e-mail address, to us when you contact us for help. Such contact information you enter will be used to communicate with you in order to resolve your help issues. We may also use the contact information you provided to provide you with important information regarding fixes or enhancements to the Application. This information will not be disclosed to any third parties.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, in the unlikely event that the Application crashes, it may collect and report certain non-personally identifiable information automatically. This information may include the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system version, a random non-personally identifiable ID that is unique to your device for determining duplicate problems, information about the way you were using the Application, like the physical orientation of the device at the time of the crash (i.e portrait vs. landscape), and some information relating to the current network connection of the device at the time of the crash, which in some cases, may be able to be used to determine its approximate physical location. At no time will any user’s application data be automatically collected.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Yes, however, only in the event of a Application crash. A third party crash reporting service will collect and store the Automatically Collected Information from the crashing Application onto a service available to the Application developer. This information will be used by the developer of the application in order to obtain information regarding errors or bugs in the Application and to improve the application performance by identifying and correcting the defects in the Application. The collected information will be retained only for the time required to resolve the program defect and for a reasonable time thereafter.

Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of the User Provided Information and the Automatically Collected Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means using information in any way necessary to resolve a program defect that has caused the Application to crash, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the U.S. your information will be transferred to the U.S., and processed and stored there under U.S. privacy standards. By using the Application and providing information to us, you consent to such transfer to, and processing in, the U.S.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy to www.MyContainersApp.com/privacy-policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
